A Note From The Author
The creek bank in our woods is riddled with holes. Each is an entrance to a maze of tunnels busied by chipmunks, voles, snakes, insects, and who knows what else. Maybe tiny people?
That thought was the germ for My Way Home, which came in 2021 as a pleasant distraction from the ever-present nausea of pregnancy.
Two years later, I decided to do something with it.The idea of little humans is not novel; stories of wee folk are present within many cultures. That fact makes me smile. What whimsical creatures we are, and what a delightful turn of fancy is a miniature version of us, picking its way through a world made exciting, dangerous, and foreign simply by a change of perspective.
So, Kit’s story was born: the biggest adventure from the smallest vantage point.
This book is dear to my heart and I hope it will be to yours, too.
I’m grateful for your visit and look forward to sharing more stories in the future!
